WEDDING INFORMATION We're getting married. The wedding will be near Xanthi, Greece on July 26, 2008. There will also be a reception for those unable to attend in Rochester, NY on September 13, 2008. We were legally married in Rochester City Hall on April 18, 2007 for immigration purposes and took a small vacation to San Francisco for week. Now it's time to break some glasses and kill a chicken. TRIP TO INDIA I took a trip to India. I'd been wanting to go for several years and passed up the opportunity to go to Mumbai in 2006 for a friend's wedding, deciding instead to go to Greece. Check out the following links for the: [India trip summary] [Photo albums]
WINEMAKING In the fall of 2006, I started making wine in my basement fron a kit I purchased online. A couple of weeks into the process I found myself missing a part and was lucky enough to find the Rochester Winemakers site. Tom Banach, the organization's president, offered me much-needed help. It's the perfect hobby for someone with a short attention span. It's hard work but it's all concentrated in the fall. The rest of the time you're waiting. SERVAS/ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL Lena and I let strangers come into and stay at our house through Servas, an international peace-building organization. We also help international students from local university through Rochester International Council. Over the years people from Switzerland, Israel, Italy, Nepal, Congo, India and other countries have passed through our home. Click here for more information.
